I wanted to make spaghetti for my family for dinner. I usually serve the sauce with a whole grain or whole wheat spaghetti brand. But I wanted something different. I went to Aldi on a quick run about a week ago, came across this section in the store where they have different spaghetti noodles, but plant based. Of course, I had to check it out. I settled on the “Simply Nature’s Black Soybean Spaghetti.”

The first thing I noticed was of course the color, but it’s black soybeans duh! Then I looked at the nutrition facts. The calorie content was a little less. Sodium was low, and fiber and protein were very high. So according to those facts its was a thumbs up for me.

I also liked that its gluten free and non-GMO. The serving size is the same as any other pasta brand, but I do like the texture better. The cooking time is only 4-6 minutes and grabs the sauce very well when added. I stored this pasta in a glass jar in the pantry and it has kept well so far.

Will I try this product again? I will. It was quick, easy to cook with adequate nutrition. Two Thumbs Up!
