The USDA Dietary Guidelines recommend adults eat anywhere from 5-13 servings of fruits and vegetables per day depending on your overall health. I can’t see myself eating more than five servings but a quick way to get those greens in is to put it in a “Green Leaf Smoothie.”

This smoothie has three servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit. How easy is that? The Spinach, kale, banana and apple combination is sweet not bitter and is interchangeable if you would want to add different fruit or vegetables.

I have a Nutri-bullet that I’ve had for a few years. I used the large cup that comes with it and put all the ingredients in and pulsed. The smoothie came out smooth and ready to enjoy.
